Christopher Roberts currently serves as the Finance and Administration Director at the Millennium Challenge Account–Belize (MCA-Belize). In this role, he provides strategic leadership for the organization's finance and administrative functions, ensuring sound financial management, operational excellence, and compliance with Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) requirements. He oversees financial planning, budgeting, internal controls, administration, and risk management to support the effective implementation of the Belize Compact.

A Chartered Professional Accountant, Finance Specialist, and Programme Management Practitioner, Mr. Roberts brings more than 30 years of experience in international development, financial management, project implementation, auditing, compliance, and risk management. He holds a degree from the University of the West Indies, is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Canada, and is PRINCE2 certified in project management.

Prior to joining MCA-Belize, Mr. Roberts held senior leadership positions with several international development and humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), World Education Inc., Mercy Corps, and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA). Throughout his career, he has managed large-scale donor-funded programmes and provided financial oversight for complex development initiatives across the Caribbean.

Mr. Roberts has successfully managed grant portfolios exceeding USD $100 million, funded by international partners including the European Union, the U.S. Department of State, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). His expertise includes financial oversight, programme management, compliance, auditing, risk management, and ensuring the effective, transparent, and accountable use of development resources.

A dedicated development professional, Mr. Roberts is committed to strengthening financial stewardship, accountability, and operational effectiveness in support of sustainable development. Through his leadership at MCA-Belize, he continues to help ensure the successful delivery of the Belize Compact by promoting sound financial governance, strategic resource management, and organizational excellence. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys playing tennis and chess and is continually expanding his proficiency in French, Spanish, and Italian.
