Christie Cobb

Christie Cobb currently serves as the Educational Resources Specialist for the Education Project at the Millennium Challenge Account–Belize (MCA-Belize). In this role, she supports the planning, development, review, implementation, and long-term investment of educational resources that strengthen the quality of secondary education in Belize. She works to ensure that instructional materials align with national priorities, support effective teaching practices, and improve learning outcomes for students across the country.

A Belizean educator, counselor, researcher, and inclusive education specialist, Christie brings more than 10 years of experience across Belize's secondary and tertiary education sectors. Her expertise spans educational resource and curriculum development, inclusive education, accessibility, teacher professional development, instructional design, educational research, and stakeholder engagement. She is committed to developing evidence-informed solutions that strengthen education systems and promote equitable learning opportunities for all students.

Prior to joining MCA-Belize, Christie served in a variety of educational leadership and instructional roles, including secondary school educator, school counselor, Head of Department, psychology lecturer, Accessibility Director, curriculum designer, researcher, and teacher educator. Throughout her career, she has supported curriculum reform, educator development, and inclusive education initiatives, while working closely with students, teachers, families, and institutional leaders to improve educational quality and student success.

Christie holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from the University of North Florida, graduating cum laude, and a Master of Arts in Education Practices and Principles, specializing in Inclusive Practices, from Saint Louis University, graduating summa cum laude. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University, with research focused on educational leadership, teacher development, student belonging, and well-being.

A dedicated advocate for inclusive, equitable, and learner-centered education, Christie combines research, educational leadership, and practical classroom experience to support meaningful improvements in teaching and learning. Through her work at MCA-Belize, she remains committed to strengthening educational resources and systems that are evidence-based, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of Belize's learners and educators.
